Social: Duplicate OG Description

Pages that have duplicate OG description tags. It’s useful to have distinct and unique OG descriptions for every page relating to their content.

If every page has the same page description, then it can make it more challenging for users to understand one page from another.

View URLs with this issue in the ‘Social’ tab and ‘Duplicate OG Description’ filter, and export all URLs using the ‘Export’ button.

What Triggers This Issue

This issue is triggered when two or more pages have the same og:description content.

Example:

Was on multiple pages https://www.example.com/red-widgets/ and https://www.example.com/blue-widgets/.

How To Fix

Update duplicate OG descriptions as necessary, so each page contains a unique and enticing description for users.

If these are duplicate pages, then fix the duplicated pages by linking to a single version, and redirect or use canonicals where appropriate.
